Wonder if we're getting closer to a new naming convention.

it would basically force everyone to think and say the Apple brand every single time.
I'd argue Apple TV and Apple Card are closer to services than hardware products. I take your point though, I just don't think it'll happen with iPhone.Apple TV, Apple Watch, and Apple Card are already physical products and not services. Let's add the Apple Car if it will ever see the light of the day.
iPhone is incredibly strong, but I think that's starting to cause an issue to Apple overall.
All the mac excluding the iMac don't have the i.
In Apple's defence, if they do such a thing:Changing the "iPhone" to "Apple Phone" would be a huge blunder. It reminds me of when WWF turned to WWE and half their viewership just DROPPED right off.
If they hadn't they would have had to pay the World Wildlife Fund a fortune.Changing the "iPhone" to "Apple Phone" would be a huge blunder. It reminds me of when WWF turned to WWE and half their viewership just DROPPED right off.
There is no 1TB on the note 10....If true, 512GB would be disappointing, seeing that Samsung released a 1TB S10 earlier this year.
Phill Schiller: "Can't innovate anymore? My a**!"See, and you all thought we would see no innovation with the iPhone 11!! lol
Since this is iPhone XSS, it will be the only external sign that this is not the previous device. Sort of how they changed the reflectiveness of the iPhone lettering from the 3G to the 3GS, or put an S just below the name on the 6S.Dropping the highly-visible word mark doesn't mean this won't still be an "iPhone." Apple in fact has done that before, dropping the "iMac" word mark from the iMac without changing the name. At a certain point, we know what the product is, and the overall appearance is cleaner without the mark. That's reason enough.
You don't think the rumored giant square camera assembly will be an external sign that this is not the previous device?Since this is iPhone XSS, it will be the only external sign that this is not the previous device. Sort of how they changed the reflectiveness of the iPhone lettering from the 3G to the 3GS, or put an S just below the name on the 6S.
This was exactly my thought with iPhone being removed. Because it's no longer an iPhone. It's an Apple Phone and Apple Phone Pro. With "iPhone 11" just being a place holder.Wonder if we're getting closer to a new naming convention.

Obviously, I am just speculating for the fun of it. iPhone is, as you say, very recognizable. But it's also becoming a "tired" brand.I'd give this a 0% chance. iPhone isn't just a strong brand, it's probably the most recognizable and successful product ever. From a sales & marketing perspective, this would be the biggest mistake Apple could make in just about anything they do.
No they don’t.Most people put their phone in a case. Also Apple took branding off its macbooks in the past so this isn't really that big of a deal. The design of Apple products speak for themselves in 2019.
The battery increase looks promising
Riigghhttt?? I mean no iPhone wording on the back!! Screw the S10 or Note 10!! THIS IS INNOVATION BAABBBYYY!!!Phill Schiller: "Can't innovate anymore? My a**!"
