Apps 3 months before game release.... best way to build interest in game?

The internet is loaded with so many games and apps that when you finally have that special unique little gem it's too crowded market to just "build and let them come"....

Suggestions and fresh ideas on ways to gather interest in the 3 months prior to beta release please????

Also very important to gather beta testers.
