Hello, I'm currently planning to buy a iMac with Retina 5K display. Which one should I buy with 256 GB flash or with 3 TB fusion drive. I know flash is faster but is small, This why I am thinking about a WD My Book 4TB External Is there a big difference between Fusion drive and flash drive? Please guys suggest me which option is best for me.

    Thanks :)

Updates to iMacs are imminent (October/November), so I would suggest you wait. There is a possibility we'll see a 2TB SSD offered in the next iMac 5K.

It also depends whether you want run bootcamp on a Fusion drive, in this case the windows partition will be installed on the mechanical drive, which I wouldn't be happy about at all. Otherwise I think Fusion drive is sufficient.
