Looking for 4K external monitor to connect my 2018 Touchbar MacBook 13” to. 32” size. Would like something that most looks like an iMac.

Hey I'm looking for the same thing and the only one I came across was the LG 27uk850. While it's not 5K like the iMac, it does look pretty sleek, provides 4K quality in an IPS panel and it's simply the most affordable 4K usb-c monitor I could find coming in around 500 dollars.

Now you could also wait for the upcoming Apple Pro display which is rumoured to be a 6K display in a sleek form factor. I do, however, expect this display to be quite pricey and well above the thousand dollar mark. Also, it's unknown whether or not your MacBook Pro will actually be able to handle a 6K display because it lacks a dedicated graphics card.

I’ve not seen anything that resembles the iMac other than the two LG UltraFine displays (4k & 5k). They both have the high dpi that is required to get that look. All other displays I have seen still have that pixelated look, regardless of their resolution.

Perhaps someone else can chime in with their suggestions, but for me, it’s 2x 4k UltraFine. Also, I should note that I’ve used a Samsung 4k (think it was 24”), as well as a 34” UltraWide from LG. Neither one looked as good as the two that they sell in concert with Apple. Not even close.
