What if that number 5 means 5 new things and not just iPhone 5?
Could be, but i'm sure its the iPhone 5 that must people are bothered about.
Or maybe it's just iPhone 5...
We'll have to wait
iPod touch (2012)
If its infact the named iPhone 5 I will laugh at the thousands of "smart arses" that would correct every single moment when someone mentioned 'iPhone 5'.
iphone 5 and i am super excited
I can buy this much as a theory
5th Generation iPod Touch
Let me get back to you on the 12th.
Dalrymple confirmed that there will be two separate events this Fall. So don't count on it.
Maybe because it is the the "creme de la creme" for the the event on the 21st.
New iPod Touch
List of new things?
The New iPad
The New iPhone
The New iPod touch
Definitely not the Mini. Maybe a 13" retina MBP at the end, though I doubt it. I think they are going to save the iPods for a Oct. music event alonside the mini.
I'd love to see a new Mac mini but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Can we please not continue the 5/6 name debate?
This isn't about the 5/6 discussion. Read the thread.
Even if it isn't, you can still laugh at them. Why?
Because it's such a monumentally silly thing to give a toss about.
I know it's not. But every thread turns into it and I am asking for the insanity to end. I don't think apple would ever talk up 5 new devices in a day. They may do silent updates to the desktops. That'd be ok with me. Really hoping for a new desktop soon.
also an iMac refresh is due.
Makes perfect sense.
It just mean iPhone is 5 years old. Iphone was introduce in 2007 and it is 2012 now.
Hmm I don't think the iPhone 5 will be called "iPhone 5".. They are going to use the same naming strategy that Jobs implemented with the Macs. Like "the new iPad".
5 could be 5 products: new iPhone, updated Nano, Shuffle, Touch. And 13" retina macbook pro as "one more thing" (but I doubt Tim would use that sentence, as it is Steve Jobs').
Separate iPad Mini event next month.
The 5 can also stand for that iPhone has been sold for 5 years now.
A voice of reason amongst the madness.
