I need to bring in an iPhone 5 for a possible warranty replacement. The speaker stopped working a couple months ago (should have brought it in before now). Do you think there's any chance I'll get a 5s as a replacement if I wait another week or so? Or do you think they'll just repair the speaker on site?

No way. They will either try to repair it on site or give you a refurb 5.

No. Apple can still replace or fix your iPhone 3GS if you pay for out-of-warranty repair.

They might do a downgrade and replace it with the 5c.

Highly improbable given past experiences posted here.
