Jailbreaking/Pwn'ing a 2G iPod Touch - Worth it?

Hey, I am confused about Jailbreaking/Pwn'ing My 2G iPod Touch.
Can someone tell me the OBVIOUS advantage's to Jailbreaking?
I Know about free Apps but is there a real advantage?
