New here just got an ipad a week ago and i can't put it down. I do have a question i want to play my music through my speakers at work. But the plug is to small so i bough an adpator for it but no sound. Does anybody have any
suggestions...................

It should automatically switch over to headphones when it detects them. Is the audio on both the speakers and iPad turned up?
 
I don't have any head phones. I tryed to plug my speakers but they won't play?
 
Are the speakers self powered?, otherwise the iPad does not have the power to drive the speakers. You need an amp.

You need to be more descriptive in your thread title. Anything less, you'll get very few replies and the replies you do get will be of the sarcastic variety.

That being said, can you be more specific? Are you talking about simply connecting speakers via the 3.5 mm headphone jack or thru a dock connector?
 
I have a set of speakers that go to a clock radio I have plugged them into my iPhone for my iTunes and they work. The plug from the speakers is to small for the iPad so I bought an adaptor to plug into the iPad then the speaker cable. I don't get any sound from the speakers when playing iTunes on the iPad.

Something is weird here. If you plugged those speakers into the iPhone, then the same plug should work for the iPad, as the headphone jack on the iPhone and the iPad are the same size.
 
OP, can you tell us the model of the speaker and the name of the adapter?

If not, we just guess around and around and we will (including yourself) get frustrated about the non-existent development of the solution of your problem and your inability to tell us some specifics, as your setup seems kinda strange, especially the adapter part.
