O.K. I agree. This is a bit anal.

But, why does Pages think a document has been altered when I print the document?

I haven't made any changes to it when I printed it, but Pages seems to think so. Therefore, if I print something and then want to close it, I have to save it. Or, I at least have to go through the menu of choosing to save it or not, before I close it.

Not a big deal, but it gets a bit annoying that I have to do it, when it seems unnecessary.

Thanks all!

I agree this behavior is a bit annoying and I have no explanation. The only thing I can think of as a possible explanation is that Pages documents save print settings, but I can't find any evidence that this is actually the case.
