You left out the paragraph that commented about how the cost of medical treatments have way outstripped the inflation rate. Over the last twenty years, as the federal government has gotten ever more involved in medical care, costs have outstripped the inflation rate...

TANSTAAFL. Never has been, never will be. Sorta like that old Fram oil filter ad, "You can pay me now, or pay me later*."

Sooner or later, like it or not, we've all gotta pay some part of the true costs of living.

    * The Federal Trade Commission tried to make Fram pull the ad, claiming that there was no proof that failure to change oil and filter could result in harm to an engine. Your government in action.

The "New Deal and the Great Society" are unsustainable. It has become a pyramid scheme based on the work of your granchildren. The system will collapse and we will be better for it.
People should take care of their own retirements and the Government should get out of the business of interfering with our lives.
