    Are the Democrats coming apart?

    --- Post Merged, Jul 25, 2019 ---
That would be MSNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC, FOX, etc.

You can't even keep your own threads on point. And no, based on your tinfoiled links, free speech is not at risk. I don't even feel like Im going out on a limb by saying you probably don't understand what free speech even means.

That not what Facebook and Google want, it’s total control of your ability to discus subjects that they believe is not appropriate, that’s all.

And again, not a free speech issue.

Sure it is, what if someone decide to discuss the environmental damage being done and Facebook and Google decided that a discussion of that kind was politically incorrect?

Free speech means the gov can't infringe on your right to speak. It does not cover what is allowed by private entities on their own services.

Look the mainstream media sources are flawed and they typically have a pro-urban centre right economically, centre left socially bias. But they are bastions of the truth compared to this drivel.

Tiger might get paid for clicks given how often he likes to source that site.

If you want anyone to take you seriously on this issue, find a better source than a notorious anti-vaxxer and conspiracy monger.

The mainstream media propagates either what it is told to do or wants to let out to the public.

There’s no tinfoil conspiracy at the media companies. They employ lots of high status people (as due to unpaid internships getting in if you aren’t rich is hard) in major cities. The bias is what you’d expect.

Any of those would be a vast improvement over your favorite source:

Good grief. The producer of a show could be pro or anti "vaccine" -- but it's not going to affect how he informs me that FedEx cargo is delayed because of bad weather in Memphis tonight. Wake up! Not all news is about vaccines and other topics that conspiracy theorists favor.

Quit discrediting mainstream media with that big wet blanket someone gave you. Be specific in your criticism of mainstream journalism. Don't be part of Americans' info-gathering problem by blanket smearing professional journalism as "fake news". It's very dishonest to do that.

The site you keep quoting from relays unconfirmed and unverifiable information and is so biased-right that it would almost be off edge of even the widest flatscreen TV if presented over air. It's tiresome you keep making threads off links to such worthless garbage. You spread unreliable information in so doing. Is that your desire, or you are just trolling the board with this crap?

No. It gathers news, reports it, analyzes it and prints opinion (and labels them as such). The last time some person told a mainstream newspaper what to print, he was probably treated to a story shortly afterwards in which he was actually featured, perhaps unfavorably, and with a footnote saying that he had declined to comment when invited to to so pre-publication. Mainstream media are staffed by professional journalists working to published guidelines and standards. Not everyone likes it that mainstream media print stuff without fear or favor most of the time. The reasons stories get spiked today are usually that the sourcing is incomplete or unacceptable. And they are careful to disclose what should be disclosed in a piece, e.g., "full disclosure, the Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos" will often appear in a piece about Amazon or Bezos.

People generally cannot tell a newspaper in the states what not to print, short of libelous info --hard to prove in the US-- or classified info, which a paper is usually but not always prepared to withhold or censor at reasonable requests of the government for some period of time. The "Pentagon Papers" were printed during the Vietnam War era despite government objection; the courts upheld the media. In recent times papers have printed certain classified documents that went up on Wikileaks despite government objection to their further dissemination. Read up on the laws against prior restraint aka pre-publication censorship:

Well I'm done talking to myself here so I'll bail while there's still time to watch a movie.

Seriously you should quit trolling us with garbage threads.

I wouldn’t care as I’m not on FB, and even if I was and got banned, it’s still not a 1st issue.

It prints and televises their own opinions, this is why the news media seems to be more of a talk show than anything else, that is why they have those programs like they are siting on a couch having a discussion
