This is as true as the fact that bananas were created by god to be used by humans.

I would opine that would very much depend on where you were putting your banana and where you were putting your pineapple.

How brilliant :D and tellingly they aren't even talking about evolution but abiogenesis (the development of life from non life).

It's hilarious that some people would take this stuff seriously! Then, the more I think about it, I realise that it's really sad. To deny evolution is to completely remove yourself from reality.

Mate, you obviously haven't heard about Kitzmiller v. Dover School District...

    Google it... might learn something.

It's called the Kansas Education Board. Thank goodness we dont have it in Aus and unfortunately it's not fiction. People actually fall for this nonsense and furthermore want to teach it to children as "science".

    Holy ******!

It would be funny if it wasn't so scary!

These people are allowed to vote and pass on their genetic endowment. (No. no, I'm not supporting eugenics. It's just hyperbole to make a point ;))

They should not be permitted to own anything sharper than a spoon.

It's the Tea Party on crack.

Excellent video... Unfortunately for us down under there is no access to PBS online.

In any case, in the video, there is a very entertaining exposition on "irreducible complexity" and the scientific argument against it, associated with your original question, i.e. flagellum.

    Good luck.
