I bought a new 80 gig WD drive running on the main ide cable with my main OS on it, my previous apple drive is connected on the secondary ide cable. When the secondary drive is connected it cause the finder to crash and genrally make my system unstable. I dont have a map for the ide pins for my apple hard drive so i don't know if that is the problem. I have checked the drive for errors and there doesnt come up with any. What can i do to make a stable system with the both drives?

i think i have heard to put both on same cable, enable cable select, and you are good to go.
