I've been playing with new version of AirParrot 2 today, and it seems faster than the old version and I haven't encountered lip-sync lag which sometimes irritated me previously.

The new version includes not only AirPlay Mirroring and AirPlay Display to extend the desktop in OS X (including Macs that don't normally support it like my original Mac Pro) along with AirPlay Mirroring for a single application (now centered on the screen), but also AirPlay media streaming individual files like Beamer, and now supports Chromecast in addition to Apple TV. Very nifty is simultaneous multiple display support, for multiple Apple TVs and/or Chromecasts. There's also a Windows version for PCs and a Chrome OS version for Chromebooks, which I didn't try.
