iPod touch Airplane mode notification

So, when I turn on airplane mode to not use Wifi and conserve battery power, and I open an app that uses Wifi, I get a notification saying "Turn Off Airplane Mode or Use Wi-Fi to Access Data". It's like: "Ok Apple, I know that already, I turned it on for a reason."

I get this notification, every single time, and I'm getting tired of it. Is there a way to turn it off?
