Mine is the same. Every device in my home updated to 16.4. Upgraded to new HomeKit architecture last night and now all I get when I try to airplay to any of my four HomePods is "AirPlay Unable to connect to..."

I have rebooted everything. Everything is on the latest firmware (required in order to update to the new HomeKit architecture)

Would love if someone has a fix because this is all broken.

Also Airplay to my TV and Sonos doesn't work and they are also on the latest firmware.

The title of this thread is "16.4 beta" so I assumed that was what you were running.

Which version are you running now that doesn't work?
I was running the newest iteration of 16.4 beta, downloaded yesterday afternoon. I just updated to 16.5 Developer, and will make my comments appropriately to that forum…

You're in the right forum (iOS 16). Can you change the thread title? I don't know if that's possible.

It seems other people are having the same issue so it might be across 16.4 and 16.5 versions. Could even be related to the new home upgrade thing that people are doing.

The thing i do is i put Apple TV to sleep with remote. Then start Airplay from Mac. This prevent me for getting black screen. Not tested with ipad/iphone. Youtube maybe have some restriction?

Airplay is broken in 16.4. All my Hifi amps that worked fine with Airplay 2 stooped working with 16.4. Volume slider does not work. Almost 30 000 usd of hi-fi equipment that doesn’t have Volume control. NAD and Hegel integrated for example. All working fine before….I’m sad.
