Hi, I'm fairly new to the wonderful world of macs but for the last few days I have been struggling. On a recommendation of a friend I downloaded Azureus 2.4.0.0 onto my ibook 1.33Ghz osx 10.3.9. I've been wrestling with port forwarding and static ip address followed a guide on portforward and configures my netgear WGR614v5 router, and changed the settings in the network option of system preferences and opened the firewall for the right ports. I've utilised UPnP on Azureus and the router tho I'm not sure this did much.
I get this message tho off azureus:
UpnP: Mapping 'incoming Peer Data Port (TCP/50000)' has been reserved by '192.163.1.3 - please select a different port
now I thought that address was my static Ip address, and that everything should be ok.
So I looked round the net and found a thread on this site that said that I needed to configure airport thru the airport utility. So I had a go at doing this but found that nearly all option apart from the useless ones were greyed out.
Is there anything to do. Am I just being stupid? Please help i've never seen the legendary green face of azureus
