I have just installed an Airport Extreme Base Station. Two of the three computers can connect to it just fine. They are older computers with Airport cards. The third computer is a brand-new G5 with an Airport Extreme Card. If it is in the same room with the AEBS it connects just fine. But when we move it downstairs, directly below the AEBS the airport extreme card doesn't find the AEBS. One of the older computers that works is also downstairs directly below the AEBS.

The AEBS is configured for g/b compatibility mode. Robustness is enabled.

We don't have any 2.4GHz phones. The microwave oven was not on.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the airport extreme card to working?

Thank you!

do you have the antenna plugged in on the G5? there isn't an integrated antenna in the G5
you can try shifting the station slightly
