Today I got a whole new appreciation for the Apple AirTags. I have one attached to my keys amongst other things. I was taking a bike ride and when I got a notification that my keys had been “separated” from me. Sure enough, checked my pocket, no keys. Brought up “Find My”, rode back to the spot on the map - a couple miles away, and picked up my keys from the middle of the street. Fortunately no one had driven over them while they lay in the middle of the road 😁

Excellent. I love the geofencing features of the Apple ecosystem and Find My. It's not perfect but it's great to tell me when I've left stuff behind.

its a shame that airpods cant be used (i dont think ) the same way. i have my airpods case on my keyring, and if its missing i can use 'find my' to help find it, but wish i could set it (at times, not all the time) to notify me when its separated from me.
