Al Jazeera reports that al Qaeda has weighed in on the recent French election. It seems that Sarkozy is a "crusader and Zionist" and promises bloody attacks soon.

Is Al Qaesa the Mexican-cheese-loving branch of Al Qaeda?

We must kill all the infidel! Except those, of course, who make this delicious cheese!

Es un buen coche, pero no penso nos llevarnos a Baghdad.

Wait! You can't change the thread title. Then I look like a moron rather than the cleverest monkey on earth!

Macrumors preserves its neutrality, much like the Swiss. There are lots of holes in this approach, but we do it. ;)

And to think that we we were told that if everyone just left them alone, they won't have any interest in attacking us (the West). I guess al Queda didn't get that memo.

I would have thought the correct policy would have been to catch those responsible for 9/11, not invade Iraq and turn it into an Al Qaeda training camp.

So, we should only act AFTER someone perpetrates a mass murder crime?

Let's just say I question the authenticity of this "threat". Just after a right-wing President wanting reform gets elected. I wonder what area of government will be first for his reforming hand?

No, surely the French wouldn't follow the Americans and Brits into using Al-Bogeyman to justify civil rights crackdown?

He'll concentrate on their economy. That's what their election was all about. I got to give the French credit for realizing that increasing socialism wasn't going to fix their problems. I still can't believe their 35 hour workweek and amount of paid vacation. You'd have to be a certified nutcase to be an employer over there.

Not that far off the EU average to be honest. And yet the Euro continues to soar against the dollar. Stange that.

So does assuming the position. You have to defeat them anyway. Just depends if you want to take one in the seat first. I'm on the side that doesn't.
