Alert - There are bomb threats at both schools. The UT Texas alert was called in by a claimed al quaeda person. Immediately exit and get away from all buildings.

That was my thought too. If al qaeda is going to do something they are going to wait for it to happen and then run to al jazzera to take credit for it. Not really their style to call in a threat and give you 90 minutes to clear out.

Exacty. They aren't usually too concerned with people's lives.

Perhaps, but because this is something happening right now, I thought it wise to spread the alert in case anyone was there or was interested in what happens. Yes, it doesn't seem real, but two such threats within minutes of each other and while there is unrest in the middle east is enough to take seriously.

    ALL OF IT LIES.

Everyone knows that sheep found on the road are liberated then eaten.

Well, at least this time it doesn't appear to be animal liberation nutters bombing labs, cars or homes.

My first through was it's probably a hoax by some kid wanting an early start to the weekend, or more time for an assignment, or to delay an exam, or just being stupid and thinking they're funny.

I did too, but it's two schools that are widely separated. I hope it's just another hoax.

It must be, since it's past time the bombs went off.

I'm a student that goes to UT. Definitely scary stuff. It was kind of eerie to wake up to this text from UT alerts.

I remember the yearly bomb threats in high school... Good times. Didn't know it happened to some colleges as well. If I was in charge, I would just ignore it. If it was a real terrorist attack, why would they warn you and give enough time for an evacuation?

I actually lucked out having no Friday classes at all! But, the trade off is that I have classes from 8am-10:30pm Thursdays :(
