    Well, okay, maybe not all Mac users will vote for Obama, but I'm struggling to find all that many Republicans on this site. :)

    So, in an effort to find out if there are, in fact, any Mac-using McCain/Palin devotees vote in the poll!

    You don't get republicans on this site because you are exposed to other cultures and nationalities here. In which case you realise how scarily right wing the republicans in the us actually are.

    Sorry but I think that anyone who is right of the London Daily Telegraph (as read by the English aristocracy, many of whom have been rich for 1000 years) is taking things more than a little too far.

    I'll write in some name. Neither McCain nor Obama deserves my vote. I might just not even bother submitting a ballot (considering that it would be absentee).

    How is it idiotic? The US is seriously a right leaning country and certainly the most right wing of the major powers.

    It's not possible to be to the right of the Telegraph, honest.

    Not sure what you really want to find out.

    Regardless, a poll and thread like this are not going to help much.

    uh, no.

    I will never vote for Obama. I value the future of our country too much. Yea, I went there...

    <soapbox>
    I'm not getting nasty or violent, but I am sick of Democrats and Liberals being able to say whatever they want without any repercussions, while Republicans and Conservatives stay silent for fear of being tarred and feathered just because they spoke up. Freedom of speech applies to both sides of the aisle, you know.
    </soapbox>

    McCain-Palin 08.

    and I suppose your original statement was supposed to be funny and not flamebait/a drawing out?

    Yeah but the centre is the BBC. Not CNN. Everyone mainstream in us politics is right wing by any reasonable measure.

    Seriously can anyone name a country which is right of the US?

    I'm a conservative whom finds the Republican party too liberal and only 25 years behind the Democrats. However, I'll be voting Republican this election, for one, because Palin is so great (policy-wise, mind you), and two, because I've actually been convinced McCain isn't so bad.

    Eraserhead do you live in the U.S.? If you did you would know that just because our president is a republican does not mean everything else is. The media here is leaning to the left so much it is ridicules.

    What news are you watching if you're not seeing conservatives being attacked?:)

    That's right. You certainly can't have a chip on your shoulder and participate here in this forum. I chose to not take the criticism and insults personally.

    Heh, good for you. I used to take political debates on the internet VERY seriously. Then I realized that in a million arguments, not one person has changed side. I love politics, so I'll still participate in online discussions, but I definitely take it a little more light-hearted.

    No I've just been visiting for a few weeks. I've certainly tried to stay out of the chain hotels to get an impression. At least of the cities I've been staying in.

    LOL. This has to be a joke. Right?
