do you rly want to know?
So i was eating some altoids today and i was reminded of the wacky altoids ipod case one of my friends had made. i was nice for his nano.so i was wondering are there any more uses for them( besides storing flavored mints?):D?

Some people use them to store illicit substances. Circuit hobbyists use them for housing DIY electronics.

I make a musical instrument out of them. I bend some bobby pins and attach them with a hair tie and some tape. Great boredom buster.

I once packed in a very rudimentary 'bug' that I planned on tapping into the household phone line - with a line in, headphone jack and little speaker... Back in my phreaking days.

I never got a chance to try it, though. I had it all wired except for the last few steps and then just lost interest.

Most people i know store drugs, because they seal reasonably tight and still have that minty smell to cover anything else

As an amateur radio operator,Altoids cans are great for storing small parts, also they make great cases for little kit radios and such. I have two cans in the car, both filled with toothpicks.

I keep an empty can of Altoids in my pocket just in case a need to take a dump and I can't find a bathroom. That's also why I keep a couple napkins in my other pocket.

Most people who are in jail used them from drugs. No one with half a brain would put drugs in an Altoids box seeing as how for reasons you have mentioned that it the first place the copers look.:p

They make a good substitute for a tobacco tin to use for a personal survival kit. Not real useful in day-to-day city life, but good to throw into your backpack when hiking, or to take in the car when driving in the middle of nowhere. I have one, as well as a larger crash kit that I take when I fly, since you are even more likely to be over the middle of nowhere when flying than when following any paved road.

Ive always loved this use:

Gonna order the kit or just make one myself someday.
