hey all,
i deleted youtube and safari from my touch and now it wont connect to itunes. is there some way i can restore it with out itunes (button holding) or should i just send it in to apple? and if i do send it to apple will they fix it, or is my warenty void?

you can restore your ipod.
turn ipod on,
hold the home and sleep button until it turns off and turns on again. when it turns on and the apple logo appears, release the sleep button while still holding the home button. it will probably tell you to connect to itunes. so connect to itunes and it should force a restore.
 
Jailbreaking does nothing to the actual hardware or firmware, only the operating system on the iPod, which can be recovered at any point in time. I'd have to say it's pretty much undetectable.
