Ok, I'm fully prepared to get blasted straight away from this thread, but I think the pink band is the only sport band with any chance of being seriously worn outside the gym. Am I the only guy out there who thinks so?

I will say that if the silver spot came with a black band option I'd get that over pink, but it doesn't.

Anyone gonna where blue or green sport bands to the office?

You are probably the only one. You could always pull your shirt sleeve down when in public.

And you are not going to see many brightly colored bands in an office environment.

I would get the pink/red/coral/whatever to match something else i'm wearing of the same color like pink shorts or a pink shirt! I work outside so I'm def gonna get a blue band to match my blue silicone 6+ case. In short, get what color you enjoy. Colors have no gender or sexuality

I don't understand why this day in age guys are afraid to wear pink things. I like the pink band. Hell, I think it's the best looking one with the silver case. I'm curious to see how it looks with the Space Gray case. I might get one and I don't care what people think. I buy it for myself, not to please others.

Plus from what I have seen the Pink is more like a coral (kinda like the 5c) which I really think looks nice.

Get it. I first thought that no HUMAN would buy that green and then my boss showed up with my new work uniform with the main color that EXACT green. Now I have to get it for my sports band to use with the SS base.

(of course if SS with White sport is shipping immediately but SS LINK has a 2 month delay then I will get that) fingers crossed

If I see a guy with that pink he will get a thumbs up as a fellow apple watch owner.

The whole "pink is for girls/ gays" and even "only REAL men wear pink" thing died off after I left grade school. Seeing guys wear pink clothing is pretty common now and I've never been in a social setting post-highschool where a guy wearing pink drew extra attention to himself in any way. It's just another color.

In fact, those salmon-colored shorts (which are pretty close in color to the pink watch band) are really popular now around me, along with bright blue ones.

I'd love to have every color Sport band eventually, and the pink is no exception.

Seriously? You think the white and black sport bands are going to be gym-only items?

Sexual orientation (and also gender) quite aside, aren't there a whole lot of outfits with which a pink watch band would clash just terribly? Both white and black, as neutral tones, seem to me much more versatile. I sure hope so, anyway; tonight I'm pre-ordering the SS Watch with the black sport band.

(FWIW, to my eye, pink items on men basically just indicate that the wearer is not terribly worried about the prospect of being perceived as gay by people who would draw that inference. Which suggests that either (1) the wearer is gay and is (quite appropriately) not ashamed about it; (2) the wearer isn't gay but doesn't really mind being mistaken for gay; and/or (3) the wearer is comfortable dismissing out of hand the reaction of anyone who would jump to the conclusion that a pink item of clothing indicates anything about his sexual orientation. I'm a straight guy who has worn plenty of pink ties and shirts on occasion, largely for reasons (2) and (3). In a specific context in which there was a real threat of homophobic violence, though, I would avoid wearing pink stuff. And also get the hell out of there ASAP.)

There's always going to be people who tease or assume pink is for girls, or gay dudes. Buying a pink band could send that message to close minded people..you already got a taste of that here. If it doesn't bother you then go for it

I will be buying most of the sport bands tbh just for a change until the third party stuff comes out so no you won't be the only one buying a pink - tomorrow yes but I will shortly

You don't think the black band can be seriously worn outside the gym?

You have a unique perspective on the world, it seems. :)

yeah I gotta think more before i write...

Black and white for sure, I guess I was only thinking about the 3 colors pink, green and blue. The green and blue burn my eyes

And maybe it's that spring might finally be coming to the Boston area!!

I'm still unsure to go silver or black sport, they really have made me work to figure out what I want.

I think the pink/coral sport band is very unisex. That said, I would not wear it because (1) I work in a conservative business environment and do not want something that flashy, and (2) it's just not my style anyway. But kudos to you for choosing it. Get what you like! Truth be told, I'm getting that color band for the wife's Watch.

I think the Soft Pink buckle strap is more feminine in shape and color than the coral sport band. I could easily see my wife wearing a SS model with the soft pink buckle. But she's a girl.... :D

My first choice is a Sport Space Grey with black band. But if I cannot get that one tomorrow I will order any other sport one I can. If that is the normal one with pink band so be it :)

Just wear it with proud and your good.

It is Number 4 on my list right now and I'm flip-flopping with Green so it may move up.

  • White
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Light Red :D

I would like to have them all to change up but will wait to see 3ed party.
