Ambient light sensor not working (after ios 6 update)

Seeing that the iPhone 5 is nothing but an updated 4S, i choose to not get the iPhone 5. all the features in the 5 are in my 4S. Anyways, ive noticed that after i updated to the latest ios, my ambient light sensor is not working. is anybody having this issue as well? thanks!

chances are it is still working, they just changed the algorithm behind the adjustment with iOS6. it is much more subtle now.
to test it, you can shine a flashlight at the sensor and you should see it move more quickly.
