In a move that could only come from people who would not be fighting themselves, but love a good war and lots of dead, wounded and damaged American soldiers, the new top ranking war hawks in the Trump admin want to expand the US involvement in the Saudi invasion of Yemen. I say if they want us to get more involved than we currently are then they better take their case before congress and ask for a Declaration of War, as is Constitutionally mandated. Then, if they get it, they and their kids should all be serving on the front lines.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

This world in arms is not spending money alone.
It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this:
A modern brick school in more than 30 cities.
It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population.
It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals.
It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement.

We pay for a single fighter with a half-million bushels of wheat.

We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people.

    . . .

This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."

    U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower on April 16, 1953.

Well, ISIS doesn't have long, so we've got to keep that military industrial complex fed somehow!

new arms sales to the Saudis are in the works too, and these seem likely to end up being used in Yemen

We still haven't heard from the Legion of Morons who voted against Hillary Clinton because she was the "neocon warmonger."

    I won't wait up.

Wakey wakey. Ah yes I remember pages upon pages of nothing but Obama topics here in PRSI when it came to his decisions to get involved in Egypt, Libya and all of the other Middle East paradises.

Seriously, do any of you people have any actual principles or is everything a ****ing sports team game to you?

Posted by someone who has been warning about the neocons (whom are still greatly in power) for years, regardless of which wing of the corporate party is in the White House.

    "B-b-but Obama!"

Is unending war a problem, yes or no? If yes, lets stop the petty R vs. D **** and actually agree that its a problem.

    Yessir.

Anyone find it awfully coincidental that every country we are waging war of is part of the list of countries that PNAC (started by Jeb Bush and the neocons) released in 1999? American foreign policy IS neocon policy, regardless of party.

I've always thought he was just a left winger funded by the DNC. I assumed he got paid per post. He ignores me since I challenge him with actual data and he never seems to be able to refute it.

People generally have a hard time looking in the mirror. Even I have had a hard time in the past looking in the mirror and assessing what was looking back at me. Self honesty is the rarest thing in the world.

I think there is also a large amount of trolling on here. So it's not quite hypocrisy.

Of course we'll get plenty of war.

The POTUS does not believe in the potency of diplomacy, which is why he is against the UN, and which is why the State Dept is being gutted and shrinked, much of its staff has already been let go.

So if diplomacy is not even given a chance in regards to foreign nations….. war becomes a more likely recourse. And war we will have.

How about isolationism? You don't need to be good at diplomacy for that.

Isolationism is something we do not need. It is dangerous and counterproductive. We need a good dose of non-interventionism. Keep trade and diplomacy lines active, but resist the urge to get involved in these conflicts that are counter to our interests.
