If your MBP 13 inch is a (7,1) mid 2010 like mine then DO NOT buy the vertex 2.
I have bought it (in fact I bought two!) but had no luck getting it to work properly. Did a fresh install of OSX everything seemed fine but every 10-15mins it would freeze for about 20 seconds.
Go to the ocz forum and you will see that it's a problem with the MBP 13 inch mid 2010 only and every other macs seem fine. I thought I was the only one but I was just one of many.
They are up to firmware 1.24 or something and it still has not fixed the problem. Apparently you have to downgrade to firmware 1.11 for it work properly but you lose hibernate.
But why bother going through the trouble of downgrading the firmware or waiting with fingers crossed for the next firmware to fix the problem when you can just buy a different SSD and have it working out of the box.
The vertex 2 is in my wintel rig now and they work fine there.
