Farrakhan is a clown. Perhaps if people in the North were flying the flag that existed during the Civil War, or the genocide against the Native Amercians he would have a point. After all the North had slave states as well and the Emancipation Proclamation did not apply to them. However, the current US flag was adopted in 1960. If Farrakhan would like to add something to the flag the reminds us of the shame of how the US has treasured people of color, then let him propose something. We can always change the flag.
Do you think people would find the Confederate flag acceptable if it had 50 stars instead of 13?
The Confederacy did not exist when we grew to 50 states, so I am not sure of your point. In any case, the history of the US after 1960 is at least a little better than during slavery, so the current flag should be considered preferable.
