The IRS consists of public sector workers. The democratic party is for large government. Public sector works on the whole like large government for obvious reasons. How is that not a conflict of interest?

Not really sure what your point is. It sounds like you're making silly comparisons with a hint of conspiracy for the heck of it.

I'm not saying that the IRS did or didn't do it for that reason, but politically the IRS is not a neutral party -- so there can't be absolutely no political bias.

The law forbids the White House from requesting that the IRS engage in specific audits or hand over information about taxpayers. The President has the power to appoint (and dismiss) two particular positions of the IRS, but apart from that it's as politically neutral as you can make it.

Let me play into your ridiculous assertion that everyone at the IRS is a democrat. What's your solution? Privatize the IRS and make sure they hire more republicans? By your logic public sector workers can't do anything without being biased toward conservatives. Pure stupidity.

    Limited big government*

Like big defense, Homeland Security, big contractors, and big waste. Smaller silly departments like the EPA and Education.
