    Hi all,

We're Kdan Mobile Software, and here's our newly-updated app, Animation Desk for iPad. It's an easy and intuitive application for you to create your own animation anytime and anywhere you want!

Animation Desk for iPhone is also available on App Store now!

★ Anyone can be an animator. Any idea matters.

Animation Desk for iPad is a mobile application that allows users to create hand-drawn animations on their iPads. The drawing interface provided by the app resembles the real working environment of a professional animator who completes each frame of an animation on a specially-designed desk, the animation desk.

Despite its professional visual design, Animation Desk for iPad is easy and intuitive to work with. We want to provide a friendly drawing environment so that everyone can enjoy creating their own animated works. In the end, we hope more people will appreciate the beauty of traditional animations.

Not bad, I've been looking for an animation app for the iPad.

A couple questions for the developer, if I may:

-Are files only exportable to YouTube? Or does the software (or desktop companion software) export to MPG4 or other video formats? Do they export normally, or do they show the interface like that sample above?

-Onion skinning, is it just the previous and next frame that are visible, or can we do 2 or even 3 level onion skinning?

-Adjustable frame rates? What kind of framerates can we animate in - limited to 12 frames a second?

-Is there a full screen drawing mode?

-Can we build custom color palettes?

    1. Are files only exportable to YouTube? Or does the software (or desktop companion software) export to MPG4 or other video formats? Do they export normally, or do they show the interface like that sample above?

→We’re working on it right now. More exportable formats and usages are in the future version. Thanks for your suggestions.

    2. Onion skinning, is it just the previous and next frame that are visible, or can we do 2 or even 3 level onion skinning?

→The upcoming update will include this feature. Please wait for the next update. :D

    3. Adjustable frame rates? What kind of framerates can we animate in - limited to 12 frames a second?

→The current FPS is 12 . Due to being limited to efficiency of devices, we’re working hard on it.

    4. Is there a full screen drawing mode?

→Yes, there is a “Full screen mode” icon at the bottom left corner of the desktop. In the future, zoom-in and zoom-out functions will be added to enhance users’ drawing experiences.

    5. Can we build custom color palettes?

→The current version of Animation Desk does not allow users to build customized color palettes. However, the pro version, which will come out in the near future, will support this function.

Thanks for your interest for Animation Desk. We look forward to more your feedback. Thank you!:)

I'm really hoping the ipad3 can support an pen created by a 3rd party developer that is as precise as a wacom cintiq. After about 4 years I'm only finally getting 'fluent' with a wacom pen (still not as good as with actual paper, I actually draw differently on tablets than traditionally [maybe some of you artists here may know what I mean]) and now I'm going to have to learn how to draw with my fat finger..? =(

I've played with it for a while (using my fat finger lol), and here's what turned out.
    Nothing professional though.

The layout is simple and the features are pretty intuitive.
You can export your work to facebook, youtube, or your photo gallery on iPad (mov format).
Layers are not supported, but you can set your own background.

I'm looking forward to the zoom in feature in the next update!
