Hi friends,

So I've done my forum searching, I'd just like to double check and make sure I'm purchasing the right items here.

I'm upgrading my late '08 uMBP's 7200rpm 320gb hdd. Running out of room, and a 500gb would be perfect for me. I am going with this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148525

And of course, getting an enclosure for the current 320gb hdd:

Now, I should just follow the steps for CarbonCopyCloner from their website and I should be all dandy, yes? Thanks for your input in advance =)

Consider looking at some of the 500gb 5200rpm drives, they can come pretty close to a 7200rpm drive and cut your price in half.

Ended up buying the second link there, from OWC. Also bought a 500gb 7200rpm external with a FW800 interface. So now I have an ac-powered 1tb drive, a 500gb bus-powered FW800 drive, a 320gb usb2.0 drive, and an internal 500gb drive. I think I'm going to be doing ok on space for a while =D
