Well, we liberals have been saying this throughout the healthcare debate and its aftermath, and here it is again.

I wonder how the Tea Party's gonna explain this one as well. So much for the people being afraid of "socialism".

They are going to look to the Rasmussen Poll Toxic Medicine for Democrats? As well as the poll results of candidates pledging to repeal health care against candidates who voted for it. And finally and informed general electorate who only now is learning what is in the Healthcare law.

^Rasmussen? Seriously?? I don't understand how those guys are still in business. Their polls have been consistent outliers on every significant issue in the past three years. Their polling samples must be made exclusively of ninety-year old ex-Nazi nuns.

I hope the GOP sounds the trumpets on repealing the health-care bill. It'll be a sure ticket to the Democrats retaining both houses of Congress.

Then you are not paying attention. All they do is lump the people who think the legislation does not go far enough in with those who did not want anything done so they can say "the vast majority of American object to Obamacare." Numbers are wonderful, flexible things that you can twist all around to mean whatever you want.

Not commenting on the pros and cons but oh yah, because America doesn't have a huge debt. And it can't all be blamed on Obama. And because the existing mess works so well.

This basically was what I was going to post
22,000 people dying each year is a small price to pay for freedom

"If Medicare passes we will all be raving Reds and those who refuse to submit will be slaughtered in the next thirty years"

I can imagine that Murdoch's faux news and the Koch brothers are extremely angry with this. Despite all the propaganda they've pumped out and financed, the numbers simply don't support their neo-serfdom viewpoints.

See, that number is trivial compared to the fact that medical expenses are the most common cause of home foreclosures.

Obviously if we fix that problem, the economy will suffer possibly crippling setbacks due to reduced turnover. If it fails to impact you directly, the financial industry will get the pound of flesh nearest your heart through other means in order to compensate for their losses.

Huh <scratches head> ... Then why aren't the democrats sounding the trumpets to keep the health-care bill? Instead, they all seem to be running away from it.

Yet another keyboard warrior ultra-conservative appears. 22,000 dead a year is a like spilled milk but as MyDesktopBroke says,

"But a 3% tax increase for the $250,000+ bracket?

Because the Dems have no balls and terrible message management, but you already knew that when asking your rhetorical.

I fail miserably at sarcasm, I am actually an ultra-conservative libertarian socialist, might sound convoluted, but it isn't that much in real life

Freaking hilarious. I can't believe people are actually thinking about voting for these clowns.

This, as much as anything else, is what's killing this country: the manipulation of truth by the right wing media. People read or see it and believe it, and the next thing you know, we've got folks voting for the Tea Party and other far right conservatives based on "information" like your example above.

Detecting sarcasm on the internet is almost impossible in political forums. No matter how insane a response sounds, it is usually posted in good faith.

This was known before the bill passed too. People want a public option.

I think these people are tripping over their own tongues.
