That's not really a flaw in the Cleartype "technology" (i.e. sub-pixel rendering), it's just that XP only applies anti-aliasing selectively (using vi in a terminal window on XP is a very weird experience) particularly where text boxes, etc, are concerned, and seems to have occasional problems with re-drawing parts of the screen properly.Originally posted by macstudent

I have been using it and every time you scroll, or cause the a box or window to appear over the text, the text underneath loses the "clearness" the only way to rectify this is to highlight the text. it is a pain in the ass on webpages.
