Any idea why more and more of my apps won't quit?

The number keeps growing.

Started off with DVDpedia...then Adium. Now Address Book and iCal. None of these apps can close with -Q I have to force quite them. Yes I've repaired permissions and rebooted.

This is really starting to piss me off.

PS- I created another account. works fine in that account.

In your first account, check Activity Monitor to see if there are any hanging system processes. Make sure you look at All Processes, not just My Processes. Also, what do you have running in this account that wasn't in your new account? What Login Items do you have?
