I thought it was supposed to be ready for January, but haven't heard anything in a long time.

I am pretty sure I read a post on their forums that said that they were having some publisher issues and that it was still tracking for a Q1 release. I read that last week I believe. I don't think a mod said it but a regular of the community.

I am very excited for this. I love that game.

A week ago the official Torchlight forums had this to say: We are endeavoring to get our Mac port toward completion - we ran into some schedule snags and are currently getting them sorted out, and think we are getting this on the right track to finish up.

Most recent update from Runic Games:

The Mac port is taking a lot longer than we expected, but it's definitely still in development. Sorry for the delay!

Our devs don't have much experience making games for Macs, so we've had to contract the port out to external developers. The first attempt didn't work out, so we've given the project to a more experienced team. Hopefully they'll be able to finish the port and iron out bugs pretty quickly so that we can get the new version to you, but we'll have to see what sort of problems pop up. In any case, rest assured that it will get finished. |^)

Again, sorry for the delay, and thanks for being so patient!

I gave up and bought the game on steam when they were running it for 4.99. I'll hold out for a Mac version when I can but I wanted to play the game before I got old and grey.

Of course, charging anything more than $9.99 for the Mac version at this point is obscene.

Maybe they'll release it with the Mac port of Steam :D. Played a bit of the Windows version, ran at max res and graphics on my basic iMac at 60 FPS, hopefully the Mac port is as good performance.
