is there and alternative to blacksn0w for unlocking?

    I've got a JB 3G that doesn't want to play nicely w/ Blacksn0w.

For 3G, you can try FuzzyBand from Cydia after you jailbreak

    Are you using Blacksn0w RC2 ?

Sounds like you need to use Google.

FuzzyBand is a baseband down grader for a few, very few, really old 3G phones which had an exploit in the bootloader.

that's what my understanding of Fuzzyband was. I thought I may have been missing something.

the 3G is one from the first day they were avail. Chances are good it can be downgraded. will give it a shot.

now, about that RC2? do you think it'll work by itself or only w/ down grade?

    thnx

    geek786, you are 100% correct.

I solved it by installing Fuzzyband and going from baseband 5.11.02 to the original 4.26.08 (all on 3.1.2). Simple as can be, and works great....and wifi is back on!

    I'm happy!
