I have the LG Dare and I just want to add some music to the memory card but my macbook isn't recognizing the phone. I looked on apple's website and I don't think the phone is compatible for syncing, but does anybody know of a way I can get the computer to recognize the phone so I can just click and drag some mp3's on there? Thanks guys.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

If you have Bluetooth on the phone you can do it that way.

I do have bluetooth, and I tried that, but it doesn't save the files on the phone as music, it saves them as just sounds. So they're not accessible through the "jukebox" part of the phone. I haven't found any way to move the files from sounds to music on the phone either.

i've got the lg shine and had some difficulty on the powerbook with transferring music, so i just used the music cable i bought with the hp desktop we have. i think next time i'd buy a mac compatible phone

I was just about to ask that for when I got my macbook! I thought Bluetooth would work...

My windoze computer can take music if you put a micro SD card in it and drop the music in it.

I put music on my girlfriends LG Rumor with mine. Just formatted the memory card in the phone, took it out and used a media card reader. Then drag the music in the correct folder on the memory card.

what do you mean by "formatted the memory card"

I use 'wifi file transfer pro' app on my LG. Start the app and open my phone files in Safari (it works with Chrome too).
Easy and works great both ways (download and upload).

thanks for your reply. i only use my phone as a phone not use it for wifi/internet access, so i guess i'm stuck with having to buy a ipod or something similar.... unless there is an adaptor for the SDHC card???

Same here but in those rare cases I want to put some new music on my phone or get the photo's from my phone on the rMB, I use the app/wifi.
Of course there are card readers. I didn't like the hassle with taking the sd card out. And it took 'ages' to install it again after putting it back.

Android file transfer works well on my Mac. I've used it to transfer music and movies to a Samsung phone. It should work the same for LG.
