I want to use an iPod classic as the main source of music at a new lounge. Many of my songs are from albums meant to be listened to continuously, therefore they begin and end abruptly when played by itself. Is there any way to make an iPod classic fade all of its songs in and out like iTunes does?

As an alternative option, you should be able to build something with either a Mac Mini or a similar Windows PC and a 7-9" touchscreen that can run real iTunes for a fairly insignificant amount of money... I would guess easily less than $700, and less than $500 if you're resourceful. It'll have a lot of advantages over an iPod Touch in terms of usability and capacity....
