Any way to remove the animation when swiping back and forward in safari?

I love ML, but this little feature is quite annoying. When I click the back arrow on the toolbar, safari immediately takes me to the previous page a la Snow Leopard. However, when I use the touch gesture I'm forced to the current window slide out of the way first. Why?!

I know it might make it look fancy, but when you're swipe back and forward hundreds of times a day it really does waste A LOT of time. Is there a way to disable this? I hope there is.

Ah, I got it working. You need to change a setting the touch gestures for swiping between pages, then 3 fingers works. Thanks !
