    Maybe this is just how it works, but none of my Macbooks have done this. When it goes into sleep it disconnects from wifi it seems, so when I get it out of sleep, say after I wake up, it takes about 30 seconds but then I'm blasted with iMessages that were sent to my phone while I slept and emails and FB notifications that I already saw. Is there a way that it won't keep disconnecting so that it will be up to date when I 1st click enter?

    Sleep = Programs not running.

    You system is working as designed in sleep mode.
