As per the title?

I tried a terminal code, but that never worked.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance ...

There used to be a pmset lidwake 0 that you could set but apparently that isn't working any longer. There was also this but it also didn't work: Disable auto boot on new MacBook Pros.

There is an nvram parameter auto-boot but when I tried to set it my MBA didn't boot. I had to go into recovery and then it fixed itself which was the end of my experiments.
Thanks for the response.

I tried a command in Terminal, but it never worked.

My system's working perfectly, so as you say, I'll end the experiments here. I'll just have to get used to it.

Thanks again.

I have to admit I like the auto-start when I open the lid of my M1 MBP.

But it also would be nice to have the option to change that, so thanks for starting this topic!

I suspect either Apple will add that or a smart / persistent person will figure out a way to do this. :^)
