Anyone else excited to see iFixit's teardown of iPad 2?

    Thats cool, but I just want the 512MB of ram confirmed (I know thats what it is), and more importantly would like to know about the screen and if it is laminated to the glass like the iphone 4.

    Me too, but I'm ordering one regardless, I skipped the 1st gen iPad on purpose, so I look forward to owning the new model, plus I need an iPad to test my apps on along with my iPhone. :)

    Excited here, too. Curious about many things like placement of components, battery size, RAM, etc.

    There's a few quick shots of the internals in Apple's iPad introduction video. Here's a still frame when they're talking about the unibody construction. I believe that the previous iPad cases were stamped out and then went through finishing/hole cutting. You could see the ridges on the inside of the back piece. Here though it looks to be CNC cut like the Macbook Pro, with all of the supports and standoffs built right into the single case piece.
