I havnt found any threads on this yet, maybe this is an old topic, if so please direct me. But did anyone notice all the apple stuff in the movie wall-e? Like wall-es start up sound. The i-pod, the sleek white macbookish look to eve. I read something about steve jobs owning a lot of disney, who owns pixar. Nothing like a little subtle messaging lol

    From what i remember...

the rotating ring under EVEs floating head is the spinning lines from iPhones network activity icon

WALL-Es reboot sound is mac boot sound

AUTO uses a standard macintalk voice (think its bruce)

WALL-E uses an iPod 5G (video) to watch hello Dolly on Betamax

Steve Jobs baught Pixar from George Lucas, when lucas sold it off to pay for part of his divorce settlement

Steve jobs sits on the board at disney (part of the deal for disney to redistribute Pixar movies)

And Jonathan Ive designed many (if not all) the rebots and ships in WALL-E

what i want to know is when will we get an iPod with video IN? like WALL-Es

Disney bought Pixar from Steve and as a result, Steve is now the largest single shareholder of Disney.

Now there's something to be proud of.

I've noticed that Disney don't seem to be in as much trouble as they were a few years back. Does this coincide with his Jobsness?

The Mac stuff is not so subtle at all. It's like they want the audience to know.

I loved the documentary, namely whenever they got to Lucas and Jobs at Pixar.

That's not weird at all; I also refer to Apple when I think Pixar. Whenever I see a Pixar film I say to myself "Thank you, Apple". :D

in case you've forgotten, the earlier version of the iMac had the pixar lamp (luxor jr) as the inspiration.

I'm not sure if it's available elsewhere, but it's on disc 2 of the Wall-E DVD.
