Well ive been noseying round the usual places for a cool wallpaper that deserves the right to be on my desktop but so far i cant find anything cool enough!

So has anyone got a modern looking wallpaper (1920 x 1200) that maybe features the new apple black glossy logo and really does justice to the vibrant colours the new iMac produces?

I found one for when im in Windows via bootcamp and i would love a mac related equivalent for OS X.

The Windows one im using can be found at http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/7206/vistaareowallpaperaurabjt3.png

Cheers guys..

PS: I know theres a lot of debate about the new iMac but I have to say I absolutely love it... Runs rings around my old Dual 2.3 G5 PowerMac!

macdesktops.net has some nice Mac themed desktops, I found them when looking for something to show off my ACD. You need to sign up to download the desktops.

Might want to check it out.

Can anyone tell me how to set the wallpaper on the Mac? I just got my first one tonight and can't figure it out.

Thanks.

Right click (or ctrl+leftclick) on the desktop, and choose "Change Desktop Background". There, you can click on "Choose Folder" to use your own. I would advice you to create a folder somewhere and dedicate it to your own downloaded wallpapers.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, that did help. I didn't realize you had to download the image, then set it as wallpaper.

I like powerful black & white shots of heavy metal like this! Air Force and Navy web sites usually have plenty of free-to-download images.
