Anyone going to setup a 2nd monitor on the M3 iMac

My iMac is on order, I am thinking about setting up a 2nd 24 inch Dell. I have a work station in one room that is a 38“ Dell 4K, My office is a 32” 4K which the iMac is going to replace.

Love to hear from 2 monitor setups for the iMac M series.

I have two of these monitors that I have used with Mac minis (intel), a Mac Studio and a MacBook Pro (which I am using right now). I did have the 27" 4K version of this, but I ended up giving it to my daughter because I actually preferred the smaller 24" 4K monitor scaled to 1920x1080. Although not the 219 PPI of the 24" iMac, its 185 PPI is still very nice and crisp.

Right now I see it is around $300 for the monitor - but I have purchased these before for under $250.

If I end up getting an iMac (I have always said I wouldn't again, but I like these M3s and really like the displays), I'm thinking of getting the VESA mount version and using it with one of the LG 24" 4K monitors on my monitor arms.

The only thing I am wondering is if the 4.5K iMac's effective resolution of 2240x1260 will match close enough to a 4K display with an effective resolution of 1920x1080. I have been used to using identical dual displays for so long, that I don't know if that small difference will throw me off. I am already prepared to be thrown off by the difference in display quality, despite my current 4K LG monitors being quite good once adjusting its settings.

I have a 12.9 iPad Pro M1, yesterday I messed around with using it on my 2018 MM and sidecar In extended mode. For now I am going to try Using this first before I venture to the full size monitor. I do like the looks of the iPad stand below but it is a pricey option.

That looks like a nice but expensive option. After looking at that stand, I was wondering if they made similar attachments for VESA mount arms and couldn't find anything - surprising...
