For the longest time, I’ve had an issue where phone calls sound garbled, cutting in and out and sometimes it makes the “fast forwarding” sound effect after the audio comes back. It’s weird. I’ve seen other people have similar issues with phone calls and the 11 series but no real resolution has been posted. I have recently switched carriers (not due to this issue) but noticed it’s been happening too so it’s probably not a carrier issue.

Apple support is insistent it’s software related as they want me to restore in recovery mode thinking that my software is corrupt. Anyone else have the same issues?

Really? tell me more. I don’t recall having it on my X, but noticed it more since I got the 11 Pro.
Form what I can gather from reading numerous post on here and the internet, there is no specific phone model that has been solely affected. From the outside looking in, it appears to randomly affect x amount of people with older and newer models. A lot of times, people will speak about recipients complaining they can’t hear or that their voice sounds muffled or like they are in a far away tunnel. Some have fixed the problem by a simple rebooting or wipe and set up as new, while others returned their phone for a replacement, and a smaller percentage had an ongoing problem.
