anyone know a good program to edit photos

Use the Export function in iPhoto and you can resize it as you see fit.

I have used that but it lets me make it either either small medium or large. Medium is too big and small is too small what can I do.

In Preview: Tools >> Adjust Size.

i cant find the preview button your talking about sorry rather new to this.

It's the application named Preview. It's in your Applications folder.

I came accross a little app called "ImageWell" really neat http://xtralean.com/

May not waht you want but have a look anyway.
