Wasn't that kinda the point. A large iPod Touch gives you all the things that made iPhone OS so great but gives it to you on a screen that you can actually use.

    I find myself in limbo.

The iPhone has meant that I use the internet more than ever, everywhere.

When I'm at home though, I find that I can't be bothered to use the iPhone because its still kinda slow and the screen is too small. And sitting there for long periods of time with the MBP on my lap is kinda annoying.

My MPB needs an upgrade as its the first one that came out. I'm now thinking iPad + iMac will be a more effective buy and suit my needs better. :)

What I'm wondering is what all of the "big iPod touch" complainers thought that an Apple tablet computer would look like that would be so different, physically, than a large iPod touch.

They were expecting a paradigm shift in computing. A fully functional touch OS just as powerful as Snow Leopard with a powerful computer to back it up.

What we got is pretty much a cheap toy for grandma to use.

basically we wanted to the PS3 and we got the Wii.

But I bet casual people will love it, as long as apple can figure out a way so you don't need to ever sync with itunes or another computer.

Pretty much. The Mac Pro might be faster and be more expandable but it's pretty much the same thing. I run Final Cut Studio on a octo-core Mac Pro and my best friend does it on a g4 mac mini. Sure one is faster then the other but it's pretty much the same thing.

Roughly, believing and following blindly what the big man says, even if it ends up in suicide. :)
