I was alerted when redoing and installing a fresh iOS 11.0.1 on my iPhone 6s Plus on my iPad Pro 10.5 inch I could like use the camera from the iPhone 6s Plus and set it up from my iPad Pro 10.5 inch. It is hard to explain. I never did it though. I prefer the old fashion way typing all my passwords and usernames.

Just wondering if anyone has done it and were you successful? Did it seem safe and secure ?

I used it on my iPhone 8 when I received it and it worked great. Super quick and much easier than putting all your passwords in

Put the devices close. Initiate it on either device and there will be a spinning sphere-like object on the screen of the device getting set up (just like pairing an Apple Watch). Point the camera at the sphere and it’ll carry over the info from there

Can this method transfer all your apps and music as well?
I believe you would need to then restore from a backup. It is about seting up an iDevice with your settings so you can use iCloud or backups right away. Also you could be adding an iPad using your iPhone and the would need it's own setup.
